About Me
Hazel Dorman
Chartered Physiotherapist
Hazel Dorman as a senior physiotherapist at the Wessex Nuffield Hospital
I graduated from Queen Margaret College, Edinburgh in 1983.  Having spent a number of years at a senior level in the NHS treating musculo-skeletal injuries, I specialised in 1988 in upper limb rehabilitation. Since qualifying I have worked for a number of private practices across the country, involving me in the treatment of top level athletes for a wide range of sports.
I joined Walnut Tree Physiotherapy in April 2004 and run a specialised hand, wrist and elbow service.  I was employed from 1999 until 2009 by the Wessex Nuffield Hospital, Chandlers Ford to manage the hand service. I have contracts with the New Hall Hospital, Salisbury and with the Southampton Treatment Centre, Royal South Hants Hospital to treat NHS postoperative hand patients.  I work also at the BMI Sarum Road Hospital, Winchester running twice weekly satellite clinics.
I have a special interest in work place injuries and complimentary therapy and hold a post graduate qualification in acupuncture.  I am actively involved in education and lecturing to both physio-therapists and the medical profession.
I am a member of the British Association of Hand Therapists and I am registered with the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists and with Physio First, the organisation for private practictioners.
